New Mechanics

Wound System & Focus Mode

Repeated attacks on a monster part create visible wounds. Enter Focus Mode (holding L2/LT) to see wounds highlighted in red. Use Focus Strikes — weapon-specific finishers — on wounded parts for massive damage and guaranteed part breaks.

Seikret Mount

The Seikret is your personal bird-like mount that auto-navigates to quest targets, lets you swap weapons mid-hunt, sharpen, heal, and gather without dismounting. It can also glide short distances and perform a quick escape dodge.

Seamless Open World

The Forbidden Lands feature seamless transitions between base camps and hunting grounds — no more loading screens between zones. Dynamic weather (sandstorms, downpours, blizzards) affects monster behavior, visibility, and elemental weaknesses in real time.

Crossplay & Multiplayer

Full crossplay is supported across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at launch. Hunters can create lobbies of up to 16 players with 4-player quest parties. SOS Flares now support cross-platform matchmaking. Voice chat and sticker communication are built in.
