PURAH PAD ENTRY — ADVANCED RESEARCH NOTES

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — Advanced Tips & Hidden Secrets

You've beaten the main story. Now it's time to truly master Hyrule. This guide covers combat techniques that separate good players from great ones, Zonai engineering that breaks the game, and secrets even veteran players miss.

I. Advanced Combat Techniques

Perfect Dodge & Flurry Rush Mastery

The Flurry Rush window is generous, but the real skill is knowing when not to use it. Against Lynels, side-hop their charging slash (not backflip) for a longer punish window. Against Gleeoks, sprint perpendicular to their beam then jump for bullet-time arrow shots to each head.

Fuse Combinations That Break Combat

FuseEffect
Silver Lynel Saber Horn + Royal BroadswordHighest DPS in game (138+ damage). Flurry Rush melts everything.
Gloom Club + Silver Lynel Mace Horn214 base damage. Use with Radiant Armor + Attack Up 3 food for 428 damage per hit.
Puffshroom + Forest Dweller's SpearReusable smoke screen. Enemies lose track and take 8x sneakstrike damage.
Muddle Bud + ArrowMakes enemies fight each other. Essential for Silver enemy camps.

II. Zonai Device Engineering

The Hoverbike (Essential)

2 Fans + 1 Steering Stick. Angle fans 45 degrees down-forward. This costs 9 Zonaite and flies indefinitely on 3 battery cells. The single most efficient traversal tool in the game.

Pulse Laser Turret

Construct Head + 4 Beam Emitters arranged in a diamond. The head tracks enemies while lasers fire in pulses for 3x efficiency. Deploy near enemy camps or during siege segments.

Spring Shield

Fuse a Spring to any shield. Shield-surfing launches you high enough for bullet-time. Zero durability cost on the Spring. Replaces Revali's Gale.

III. Hidden Armor Locations

IV. Endgame Farm Routes

Lynel Coliseum (Depths): 5 Lynels (Red to Silver). ~300 Crystalized Charges + top-tier horns per run. Rare Talus: 8 Rare Stone Taluses marked across Hyrule. Each drops 600-1200 rupees of gems. King Gleeok: Southwest Sky Island. Gleeok Wings + Gleeok Guts for max-level armor upgrades.
